M: What is justification?
P: Justification is an act of God’s free grace in which he pardons all our sins and accepts us as righteous in his sight for the sake of the righteousness of Christ alone, which is credited to us and received by faith alone.

M: What is adoption?
P: Adoption is an act of God’s free grace by which we are received into the number and have a right to all the privileges of the sons of God.

M: What is sanctification?
P: Sanctification is the work of God’s free grace by which we are renewed throughout in the image of God and are enabled more and more to die to sin and live to righteousness.

M: What benefits in this life accompany or flow from justification, adoption and sanctification?
P: The benefits in this life which accompany or flow from justification, adoption and sanctification are: assurance of God’s love, peace of conscience, joy in the Holy Spirit, progress in holiness, and perseverance in it to this life’s end.

Unison: Almighty God and heavenly Father, we poor, miserable sinners confess that until this very hour we have sinned against Your commandments by evil thoughts, words, will, and works, which we cannot count, and first of all by vast unbelief. Therefore, we are not worthy to be called Your children, nor lift our eyes up to heaven. Oh God and Father, we wish that we had never provoked You to anger. Edify Women: 2025 Retreat 

Save the date for our 2025 women's retreat - October 17th-18th! This year, we are blessed to have Lauren Whalen as our speaker. She comes highly recommended by Lydia Brownback and is an editor for Lydia's Flourish Series Leaders Guide. She is a biblically sound and faithful Bible teacher, who is passionate about discipling women. She has much experience teaching women locally. This year, we are going to be having the retreat at church! Please be sure to block the dates off! More information on the theme and registration to come soon!

CGS Children's Ministry

For children 2.5 years-5th grade we have an optional nursery/Sunday School available during the sermon portion of our Sunday service. Our goal is to teach our children the Word and to prepare them for congregational worship as soon as they are able. *For children of nursery age (2.5-4 years old) please contact Sam Yang for the onboarding process. 

Fellowship

CGS Young & Gathered

Our 6th-12th graders meet every Friday 7 PM-9 PM to discuss the Sunday sermon followed by a time of games! Our desire is to grow in maturity as Christians through the study of the Word and to have a time of fellowship together as the youth of our church.
