Hallelujah! Hallelujah! - A. Lowe
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
In His temple God be praised;
In the high and heav'nly places
Be the sounding anthem raised.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
He is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
And he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit;
the holy *catholic Church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

OT Reading: Ezekiel 36:22-32, p. 677
Westminster Shorter Catechism (#31-32)
Minister: What is effective calling?
People: Effective calling is the work of God’s Spirit, by which he convinces us of our sin and misery, enlightens our minds in the knowledge of Christ, and renews our wills, and so persuades and enables us to embrace Jesus Christ, freely offered to us in the gospel.
Minister: What benefits in this life are shared by those who are effectively called?
People: In this life those who are effectively called share in justification, adoption and sanctification, and the further benefits in this life which accompany or flow from them.

Unison: Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from Your ways like lost sheep, we have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts, we have offended against Your holy laws, we have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things which we ought not to have done. O Lord, have mercy upon us, spare those who confess their faults, restore those who are penitent; and grant, O most merciful Father, for His sake, that we may now live a godly, righteous, and sober life, to the glory of Your holy Name. Amen.
